Andrew Clarke

PERSONAL - Andrew lives in Huntsville, Alabama and is “Single, AF.” Andrew has made a career for himself in contractor negotiations and subcontractor management. He used to work at Lockheed Martin in Sunnyvale and then at Raytheon in Tuscon. Andrew started playing golf when he was a kid but is out of practice. He’s a good athlete though and should fall right back into the swing of it.

TIE TO THE MONTEMAR - Andrew grew up and went to high school in Bellevue, Washington. It would make sense that his tie to the Montemar would come from his northwest ties, but we all met AJ in Sunnyvale, CA. He had moved there after graduating from ASU to work at Lockheed Martin and one of his ASU frat brothers, Raj, happened to be friends with Simon, Mike, and the crew. Before long AJ was part of the crew also. He’s a very outgoing and friendly guy and before long it seemed he was always out. As I got to know him better, I realized he was always out. He had that rare ability to party 7 nights per week and still show up to work and kill it at his day job. I don’t think I’ve seen him since we all got kicked out of the rack on my wedding night and I’m super pumped he’s making the trip to Idaho. Andrew is a great guy and another great addition to the Montemar. Hoping we get him for many years to come.

ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE MONTEMAR - Hoping Andrew can pick up something in Reno like he did last year. A fun futures bet including the Seahawks would be a great prize to hand to a Niner fan.

WHAT NEEDED TO HAPPEN IN 2024- Andrew lives in Huntsville,, and if I were him, I’d get out on that Robert Trent Jones Jr. Golf Trail as much as possible from now until the end of June. He’s out of practice and anything he can do in that category will help. That said, I’m pretty sure Andrew is making the trip to Idaho to have some fun and hang out with the guys and he’ll do that really well.

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN 2024 - Andrew had such a fun time he was super quick to sign up again to fly cross country, this time to Reno in 2025. He didn’t set any records with his golf in Idaho but his contributions to the scramble team helped Jimmy win the Jacket.

WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN 2025 - AJ needs to spend some time reading all the rules online and find ways to maximize all the “easy” points. So many people miss these that just by doing them right you are all but guaranteed a top 30 finish. Couple that with some solid golf rounds - turn those triples into doubles - and there’s no reason a top 30 or even 20 finish is within the realm of possibilities.

ODDS TO WIN - 58-1

FUN FACT - Andrew is left handed but golf’s righty.
